I had to work 10 hours the day the show was announced and tickets sold out. So I did what any devoted fan would do, go to ebay.<\/p>\n
Everyone thought the doors were supposed to open at 6 so after we ate and ran back to the car to get what we needed for the show we got in line, and were the 8th and 9th people in line!<\/p>\n
The doors weren\u2019t gonna open until 8 so then these girls behind me are like \u201cCan u take our pic?\u201d and I was like \u201cYeah I can do that\u201d then they wanted to hold Kenny to be in their pic so I let them, they were happy. Then finally around 8 they started taking tix and checking IDs, they had to look at mine twice and back at me lol, just cuz I look too young to be in a bar! After entering I went right up to the stage and got a spot next to the right speaker right at the stage, wow was I happy!!! Watched Melvis and Catfish finishing the setup.
\nThe girls next to me were really friendly and easy to talk to, so we chatted while we waited for showtime at 10. Clayton and the band came out and Clayton sang a song with Carolyn (photo taking lady) held a sheet with the lyrics for him, and they were right in front of me.<\/p>\n
Then Tambo came out and sang and introduced Kenny, for 350 people we were LOUD!!! He performed for 2 1\/2 hours, I barely had just enough room to take pics with the cardboard Kenny propped against the speaker which he got a kick out of! I was the only one holding out a lei for him so he came over, took it and gave me a 5 and put it on!!!<\/p>\n
Then after a song or 2 he threw it to the crowd in front of him, but he still wore MY lei! He came back over a couple of times and touched my left hand 3 times!!!<\/p>\n
He was coughing some so I knew he was a lil bit sick, and was telling us that he was getting a lil drunk. Someone passed up an unwrapped lozenge which of course he held but didn\u2019t put in his mouth.<\/p>\n
When Clayton put his leg out right in front of me I touched it a couple of times and his boot. Some lucky girl was invited on the stage. Kenny announced a special guest would be coming out so I pulled out my 4 x 6 of Kenny and Kracker from Atlanta last year, he walked over to look and gave me a thumbs up!<\/p>\n
Kracker came out and they sang the same songs they do at a regular show together. He said that they ran out of songs after performing several of his songs, Mellencamp, George Strait, Tim McGraw etc. so they were just gonna keep going anyway. He sang \u201cEvery little thing is gonna be alright (I think 3 little birds)\u201d by Bob Marley and I\u2019d noticed he didn\u2019t do \u201ctractor\u201d so I pulled out the \u201cI think ur tractor\u2019s sexy\u201d shirt I bought in town and held it up, one of Kenny\u2019s photographers came over & took a pic of me holding it! My eyes were like glued to Kenny so at first I thought he was security making me put the shirt down, then I looked and realized what was going on so I held it up and smiled. If I ever see or get the photo I\u2019ll post it. That was the last song, he couldn\u2019t even finish the song cuz he wasn\u2019t feeling good so it was over at 12:30. He stayed to sign things, I saw him coming my way so I waved my arms, pointed at my cut out and he leaned over and FINALLY signed it on the hat!
\nI didn\u2019t get to meet him but just the hand slaps and autograph made it worth the trip! I politely asked one of Kenny\u2019s stagehands to give him the shirts for me and he said he would & gave me a guitar pick.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
