The first show sold out, so they added a second. I attended the first night last night. Stayed at motel just minutes away from the park & ride train that took us all the way to the ball park. It beats sitting in traffic!

So the train pulls into Target Field, I get off & rush to BUZ’N at the station just steps away but they gave away the backstage passes before I even got there, UGHHHHHHHHHHHH! I couldn’t even find the K102 location with passes but was sure they were gone anyway so I gave up on that pipe dream. I at least had a shot of upgrades by tweeting out my seating info, right?

I walked around and found the funky colorful bus from the American Kids video so got on it, took a selfie in front of it and in an old blue chair. I also signed it “Jenny loves KC” and made my way to the gate. They have metal detectors now at the gates of Target Field, it’s seriously like going to the airport. I just had my travel wallet, camera bag & sealed bottle of water so I got through pretty quickly.

I got to my seat during Old Dominion’s final song or 2. And then the show progressed into Cole Swindell (wearing a Twins shirt) and Brantley Gilbert. I made a bathroom run during BG as well as getting a personal pizza & Blue Chair Bay rum drink (Blue Jean Baby rum & cola for pizza). So I ate through the end of BG since I’m not as familiar with the newer country. After supper I was ready for Jason Aldean, wow his show sure has changed since the first time when he did “Hicktown” twice. It was the first song he did last night and also performed “Tattoos on this town” as well as “Night Train” and “Fly over states” with several passenger jets taking off from the airport & flying over.

So then after this Deanna Kay of No Shoes TV comes to my section, but I wasn’t lucky.

So to drown my sorrow I got a second BCB rum drink (Island Girl) and shook it off to Taylor Swift between Aldean & Chesney. It was a cash only bar so I had to run down to an atm and accept the $3 charge to get $20 out of my bank account just for rum drinks, not counting the $10 pizza. There’s music on the speakers in between the acts. Kenny came out on the swing again, changed into a Twins hat and ended his set with Jason Aldean just after 11 pm, so mom and I made our way to the train & stopped at the slowest McDonald’s in Monticello just before we returned to our room for the night. New songs in the set were American Kids, ‘Til its gone & Wild Child.

I have an aisle seat in upper level so I hope for fewer drunks there, my leg has a chair bruise from all the drunks in my row last night with their constant comings & goings. I took almost 400 photos just to get enough decent ones so I weeded out the bad, blurry ones. I will be resting up until Thursday when I have some last minute pre-rehearsal details to attend to for brother’s wedding on Saturday, July 25th. Then I’ll rest up and be ready for Shania & Diamond Rio! I’ll be well rested by early September when I see Taylor.
