For now you can view my pics via facebook until I complete my galleries and add the videos to youtube
Mom picked me up around 11 am and we set off for Minneapolis. We stopped in Monticello for a lunch & bathroom break at the Burger King so I punched in our reserved underground parking garage’s address in the google maps on my phone from there and we found it pretty easily. After the show though we were confused and wound up walking into the line of cars trying to get out of it but we found the car pretty quickly and was out of that by midnight. It was our first time being at the new stadium so everything there was new to us. I took a picture of the column with our parking location so we had that to help us when we got back in there.
We found NSR driving into the K102 tailgate so they talked to us on air! I took a selfie with Deanna and I think Slippers, they’re so nice! We talked about how I had mom covered for the show for Mother’s day, that we love Kenny’s music & how nice he is and as a southern gal from GA I rely on Kenny’s beachy songs to get through the long cold winters here! I gave Deanna my Frozen Peach business card and said “This is Frozen Peach signing off!” so if you were listening to No Shoes Radio you probably heard us!
We hung out at the K102 tailgate. We went over to the Buz’n one for a bit but it was packed so we didn’t stay there very long, just to get a pic with Kenny’s head on a stick lol!
Then the craziness started. We were sent to the wrong entrance line which was for floor & sand bar only but we were sitting in the upper level on that side. The floor & sand bar went in at the upper level gate and we had to go down to a gate under that, weird! We had to go through the metal detectors twice but passed through pretty quick & easy both times. After getting in with the tickets scanned we went to the first merch stand we saw (but there was one almost where we were sitting, oops lol). After buying the Love for Love City license plate & drink coolie we went to try to buy a fountain Pepsi but no dice, they had no carbonation and only syrup ugh! I had to walk down several sections to buy bottled pop and we had to wait for the computers to load up even though I was paying with cash, crazy!
After Brandon Lay it was time for the Kentucky Derby so the band and crew walked out on the sand bar in their funny hats and we all watched it on the screen together.
Mom got us nachos & cheese during Thomas Rhett. During his last song I went to a portable behind our section who wasn’t very busy and bought my beer for Kenny’s “Beer in Mexico” opener haha! It was ridiculous like almost $12 so I only had 1!
During Thomas Rhett’s set he found this lady in the sand bar who was wearing a Vegas shooting survivor shirt and pulled her onstage and gave her a big hug. I got a little teary eyed during that moment.
When Kenny was starting “Everything’s gonna be alright” I had a bit of an inkling David Lee Murphy may be there (I heard “Dust on the bottle” at the tailgate) and sure enough he came out! They did their new song together as well as Dust on the bottle & Party crowd.
We’ll be back for Taylor Swift on Sept 1st so we’ll see if they send us to the proper line, if we can find our car any faster and if they have carbonation for fountain drinks! There are a lot of underage people at her shows so I hope they can serve the fountain pop! I already have my entire outfit finished!
We got home at 3 am despite a little rain (a few flashes of lightning but nothing severe) and stopping for gas, oil and bathroom break about an hour from home. I crashed when I got into my own bed yet somehow I was up a little before 9 this morning. I’ll get photos from my good camera up by tonight and get the few videos up when I get a chance, back to getting the monkey off my back for now!
