Everything worked out beautifully. The nephew was with his mom for the weekend and the weather was awesome so mom and I got to enjoy the Diamond Rio Christmas show from our 2nd row aisle seats! We stopped for Chik-fil-a on the way! I bought a few merch items that were available before the show including a new 8 x 10 which was autographed after the show. I gave each member a Christmas card too! Marty asked if it had a million bucks lol! Dana put both hands on mine. We all said to each other how nice it was to see each other.

The show itself was AWESOME! Their version of the Nutcracker just blew me away! Brian read the Christmas story, each vocalist did an acoustic solo with the other 2 vocalists on support vocals. Dana picked 2 other people for the Jingle Bell singers since I sound like Lucille Ball when I try to sing lol! Also his description of northern “sweet tea” is spot on lol! They give you unsweet tea (GROSS) with a lot of sugar packets and it just ain’t the same! I was tempted to ask for a ride south lol! Compared to a cramped little car or truck a big bus with my favorite musicians wouldn’t be so bad!

I have uploaded the photos to facebook and probably Christmas day I’ll edit together clips from Taylor then the Rio Christmas show. After 2 shows in a giant stadium it was nice to be up close in a smaller setting! I didn’t get to hug them and there wasn’t time for photos with them but I accepted the handshakes and gave them each a Christmas card signed from me and mom. At least I got to buy a few new items for my merch collection! I also wore my classic logo sweatshirt and autographed jacket I got for my 16th birthday! And I wore my Santa hat & a fun necklace of lights!

I almost forgot to mention the great slideshow of classic and recent photos of the guys with their families on Christmas! And they had some hilarious videos during the Nutcracker where they put their faces into animated stuff like those websites do!
