Diamond Rio at the Wildhorse Saloon Nashville, TN

The line was just starting and since we were supposedly gonna get in at 6:30 and we got there at 5:30, I went in the Charlie Daniels museum since it was free. It started off with an auction and it was all way more than I have, I’m still in a lot of debt from not working all summer. The set list is below, I thought the cutest part was when Benjamin (Gene’s grandson, 4) signed something and it went for $600 and he wanted it to sell for $20 lol. I had 2nd floor but was so disappointed that all the good spots were taken, took the “When the sun goes down” drink and key lime pie to make it better.

Show ended without Bubba Hyde, but I listened to it twice on the way there anyway. After the show I spotted Coyote Ugly down some steps on the way back to the parking garage so I just wanted to go in and see how it was. Got in the door, pulled out my driver’s license to show I was 23, but I didn’t dance on the bar since I only know the one they do to “Devil went down to GA” from seeing that on tv so many times. Stayed for a few songs, tried to memorize a few more moves then we headed back to the motel, across the road from a Hooters and I didn’t even go there.

Woke up this morning around 6:30 when planes started flying over us & other guests were being noisy letting doors slam, so we sat in the room ’til most of rush hour would be over at 8:30, discussing if we felt like going to Luttrell so I could see Kenny Chesney’s hometown, mom promised next time we’re around Knoxville we would so we checked out & ate at Waffle House. After making it over the mountain people started braking, there was a wreck that was just cleared up. So after rolling through that about 20 mph things pick up for about half a mile, then more brakes I’m like “Dang people learn to drive!” but there wasn’t a wreck there, just dummies slowing down to look at a news crew in the middle of the interstate and something on the other side pulled over by a cop. After that we were home free, but first we stopped at Office Depot so I could get more photo paper to print out some pics for mom for her photo album.

The news reported that the wreck was a car driven by a 42 year old that went off road & got back on in front of an 18 wheeler and was killed. I took a pic or 2 of the traffic congestion, it was all cleaned up by the time we got up to it but traffic was still going slowly.
